Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.; Saturday, noon - 5 p.m.; and during most Yukon Arts Centre performances
From its cliffside view of downtown Whitehorse, Yukon Arts Centre is the territory’s premier venue for visual and performing arts, hosting cutting-edge work from across Canada.
In addition to three distinct art galleries located in the building, works from the Yukon Permeant Collection can be found on display in the Mainstage lobby. The Public Art Gallery is the only Class-A gallery in Northern Canada, and exhibits a range of rotating exhibits all year long. These exhibits include some of the most ground-breaking work across Canada. The Yukon Arts Centre Community Gallery is reserved for emerging and established Yukon artists to exhibit their works, with new works on display each month. The ATCO Youth Gallery is a space reserved exclusively for Northern artists under 25, and sees both solo and group exhibits on display.
Outdoors, explore more Yukon artworks in the Sculpture Garden, from a granite monument overlooking Whitehorse to boulder-sized sculptures in the woods.
